What is the CARES Act Relief Fund?
Studio Beauty School will be issuing grant money to qualified students from the The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF).
Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act was passed by Congress and signed into law to provide economic relief from COVID-19. One section of the CARES Act established Emergency Financial Aid Grant to Higher Education for students. Congress will send money to us to use for emergency financial aid grants to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the pandemic. Studio Beauty School signed and returned our acknowledgement to offer and disburse these grants, and have agreed to use all of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to ALL students who were active status as of March 23, 2020.
When will the funding become available?
Studio Beauty School anticipates cutting checks to students in a timely manner. Studio Beauty School anticipates being able to send checks by mail the week of May 26th. Recipients will be notified via a message to their email detailing the information regarding the HEERF CARES ACT funds on May 21, 2020. Please check the e-mail account on file with Studio Beauty School for information regarding when we mailed the checks. We will use the HEERF CARES Act emergency aid funds to provide a standard relief grant of $750 per student, to an estimated 72 students.

Thank you!
Who is eligible for the relief act funds?
Under U.S. Department of Education rules for the program, these funds can be awarded to all students who were active students at Studio Beauty School on March 23, 2020.
We believe all students who were active have been financially impacted. These funds are meant to help students pay expenses for technology, health care, child care, course materials, rent, food moving or other expenses incurred during closure. If you have yet to experience financial stress due to COVID-19, these funds can help with unanticipated expenses or income loss that may occur throughout the rest of the closure and into future terms.
